National Hispanic Heritage Month

We are honored to celebrate and recognize National Hispanic Heritage Month [Annually Sept 15th to Oct 15th]. We join the community to acknowledge that Hispanic/Latine/Chicano history is a fundamental part of American history, Hispanic culture is intrinsically American culture, and Hispanic stories are and always have been central to the ongoing story of the County of Santa Clara, the State of California and the United States of America. These stories are at times difficult journeys, heartbreaking truths about our nation - which is exactly why this history and these stories must be learned from and retold in our classrooms and across our neighborhoods. We will be recognizing and honoring Hispanic/Latino/Chicano Americans throughout the month.

The theme for National Hispanic Heritage Month 2024 is Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together, and we will celebrate the individuals who have fought for the respect of a self-determined life through protest, legislative action, and advocacy.
