Supervisor Otto Lee and County of Santa Clara Parks invite the community to Day on the Bay - A Multicultural Festival at the Alviso Marina County Park

County of Santa Clara, CA - Day on the Bay, a popular multicultural celebration will be held at the Alviso Marina County Park on Saturday, October 16 from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.

“The Alviso Marina County Park is one of Santa Clara County’s most beautiful and historically important locations in our community. I am honored to co-host this year’s event and continue this annual District 3 tradition of cultural expression,” said Supervisor Otto Lee. “We are focused on health and wellness this year, and will have COVID-19 vaccines and flu shots available.”

Day on the Bay 2021 is presented by BROADCOM. Supervisor Otto Lee continued, “As we began organizing the event, we reached out to community partners for their help and received a lot of great support. BROADCOM really stepped up and provided the partnership necessary to make this free event possible.”

Supervisor Otto Lee will be joined on stage by an all-star list of emcees: David Louie, ABC7 News Reporter, Mimi Hernandez, Prosperity Lab Executive Director, Ha Van, KSJX Viet Radio Host, and Van Le, East Side Union High School District Trustee.

The event will offer free* COVID-19 vaccines, flu shots, marina boat tours, kayaks rentals, and pumpkins for kids. There will be several entertainers, a rock climbing, air jumper, and a health resource fair with more than 90 community organizations participating. San José Bike Party will lead our Bike To The Bay ride from the County Government Center (950 N San Pedro Street, San José) along the Guadalupe River Trail to the Alviso Marina at 9:30 am. 

Parking and shuttles will be available at the George Mayne Elementary School (5030 N 1st St, Alviso, CA 95002). Sign-ups for boat tours and kayak rentals will begin at 10:00 am.

Note: While we love our pets, due to habitat protection, no pets are allowed at the Alviso Marina County Park.

Supervisor Otto Lee represents District 3 on the County of Santa Clara Board of Supervisors which represents Sunnyvale, Milpitas, the northern neighborhoods of San José including Alviso and Berryessa, and unincorporated areas along the border with Alameda and Stanislaus Counties.
