URJGENT Grants Community Review Panel 2024
District 3 seeking community review panelists for 2024 D3 URJGENT Grants Program
Supervisor Otto Lee and the District 3 Team are seeking applicants for the Community Review Panel (CRP) for the 2024 D3 URJGENT Grant Program. We're excited to bring this grants program back for our fourth year, with the CRP as a key part of this program's success.
The D3 URJGENT Grant Program is a community centered funding opportunity, with the review and selection process also community centered. The Community Review Panel is comprised of Santa Clara County residents. Residents can apply to be a part of the CRP by completing a simple application. Each panelist will score the grant applications received based on specific criteria. We were fortunate to have outstanding panels for our 2021, 2022, and 2023 programs - Community volunteers serve on our Community Review Panel for 2024!
CRP Program Requirements:
CRP members are asked to commit approximately twenty hours over the course of four weeks to help us evaluate and score grant applications in March and April. Those who join the Community Review Panel will be scheduled for an orientation meeting where they will be trained on the goals of the URJGENT Grant Program, evaluation rubric, and review process. There are no meeting commitments beyond that unless requested by the CRP. Staff will be provide back-end support for the CRP. To be eligible, applicants must be residents of County of Santa Clara.
Selection of panelists will take into account the following three factors:
Geographical Representation
Knowledge and appreciation of the experiences of traditionally disadvantaged communities and/or geographical needs of County of Santa Clara residents; and
Diversity of lived experiences
